Several Ugandan artists, including King Saha, Ziza Bafana, and the B2C recently openly criticized Bebe Cool over his recent controversial remarks about dominating music playlists on both radio and television in Uganda.

The controversy erupted after Bebe Cool boldly claimed that he holds significant influence over which songs get played across major media platforms. His assertion sparked backlash from fellow musicians and media analysts, many of whom labeled him as selfish and out of touch with the current music landscape.

Ziza Bafana, King Saha and B2C are some of the artists who came up and condemed Bebe Cool over media manipulation.

“It’s upsetting to hear this from someone who’s supposed to be a role model, using influence to control playlists and limit opportunities for others undermines fairness and discourages real talent.” Bafana stated.

In response to the criticism, Bebe Cool fired back, referring to his critics as "stupid" and "slow thinkers" who, in his words, are not worth his attention. He clarified that his comments were not meant to belittle anyone, but rather to encourage artists to build strong relationships with deejays and media personalities to boost their music careers.

"I have no time for artists who lack critical thinking. Many of them fail to grasp the dynamics of the industry. My message was simply a wake-up call," Bebe Cool stated.
