Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has spoken out about the emotional weight of her former marriage to fellow rapper Offset, describing the experience as overwhelming and mentally exhausting.
The 32-year-old singer shared her truth during a session on X Spaces where she reflected on the impact the relationship had on her mental and physical well-being.
Cardi admitted that trust was a major issue in the marriage, leaving her in a constant state of self doubt.
“I was always questioning everything, like I couldn’t believe what was real,” she shared.
Cardi also revealed that the stress from the relationship may have affected her recent pregnancy, saying her newborn daughter was born underweight, a reality she believes was linked to the emotional strain she endured in the past relationship
Cardi decided to turn to professional help to navigate the aftermath of her divorce with Offset.
“At first, I was scared to open up, but therapy helped me put the pieces together and see my worth again,” she added.
Cardi B credits her three children Kulture, Wave, and her youngest daughter as her motivation to keep moving forward and always reminding her every day of what she's living for.
The Bronx born rapper hinted that she found happiness again, revealing she's in a new romantic relationship however she kept the details private.
According to sources, the singer is currently seeing 31 year old Jonathan Diggs, a longtime friend.
