Charles Peter Mayiga Celebrates 12 Years as Katikiro of Buganda Kingdom

Charles Peter Mayiga has marked 12 years in office as the Katikiro (Prime Minister) of the Buganda Kingdom, a role he has held since 2013.
Since his appointment, Mayiga has spearheaded a number initiatives which aimed at uplifting Buganda Kingdom. Some of these include the famous Etoffali grassroots campaign which aimed at fundraising funds to contribute toward the kingdom's development projects. The Etofali was initiated them the Kasubi Tombs were destroyed and put down by fire.
His administration has actively supported education, healthcare, and economic development across the region, earning him both respect and admiration from within and beyond the kingdom.
As Katikiro, Mayiga continues to be a central figure in the kingdom’s governance, striking a balance between tradition and modernization in an era of rapid societal change. His 12-year milestone reflects a legacy of progress and commitment to the Buganda Kingdom.
