Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty to Nightclub Assault Charges in London

Grammy-winning American singer Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to a serious assault charge stemming from an alleged altercation at a London nightclub in early 2023.
When he appeared in Court on Thursday, the 36-year-old singer denied accusations that he tried to unlawfully and maliciously cause grievous bodily harm with intent to music producer Abraham Diaw.
The incident took place on February 19, 2023, at Tape nightclub, located in the upscale Mayfair district.
The case has drawn alot attention due to Brown’s international fame and the nature of the allegations. Prosecutors claim the singer used a tequila bottle as a weapon, striking the victim during a confrontation, then proceeding to physically attack him further.

Brown was joined in the dock HoodyBaby, who also entered a not guilty plea to the same charge. Both face other allegations, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in public.
Despite the serious nature of the case, Chris was granted bail after reportedly posting a £5 million security bond. He is allowed to continue his current music tour while awaiting trial.
