Former Media Personality Zuena Defends Beeta and Shalom Amid Online Comparisons

A former media personality and a wife to Ugandan musician Moses Sali famously known as Bebe Cool, Zuena Kirema has taken to social media to express her dissatisfaction over ongoing online comparisons between Beeta, her daughter and Shalom, the daughter of politician and former musician Bobi Wine and his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi.

In a post on her X (formerly Twitter) Zuena called for an end to the public pitting of the two girls against each other, emphasizing that Beeta and Shalom are actually good friends.

“Today i stand to stop this nonsense of comparing young children. Stop creating unnecessary drama. These two young girls are good friends so please stop this immature behavior. To my lovely daughters Beata and Shalom, you are beautiful and truly loved.” she wrote

The post comes amid a wave of social media chatter that has increasingly drawn attention to the two girls due to their high-profile families. Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine, once music rivals, and currently having documented political differences.

Bebe Cool, once a critic of the ruling government, later aligned himself with the NRM party, despite being the son of Jaberi Bidandi Ssali, who served as Uganda’s Minister for Local Government from 1989 to 2004.

Bobi Wine, known for being a voice for Ugandans especially the unheard used his music to advocate for social justice. He later entered politics, successfully contesting the Kyadondo East parliamentary seat. Building on his popularity and influence, he ran for the country's highest office, emerging second to President Yoweri Museveni, who has led Uganda for over three decades.
