GNL Zamba and DJ Nimrod Clash Over Hip-Hop Authority

Tensions flared in the Ugandan entertainment industry as Galaxy fm personality DJ Nimrod hit back at veteran rapper GNL Zamba in an escalating war of words over hip-hop credibility.
Nimrod posted a photo of the singer dressed in a sleek black outfit, confidently holding a phone.
“Two albums with no single hit in the last 10 years and you call yourself the king of Hip-Hop? I’ll send the smallest rapper to take you back to your marriage 😂😂😂.” Nimrod wrote.
The statement not only criticized Zamba’s recent music record but also took a personal jab, implying the rapper should focus more on marriage life than the genre he claims to dominate.
The conflict was sparked earlier when GNL Zamba, one of Uganda’s pioneering hip-hop figures, allegedly dismissed Nimrod’s opinions on the genre, arguing that Nimrod, being primarily a DJ and not a rapper, lacked the credibility to speak on hip-hop matters.
The online reaction was immediate and divided. Many have attached DJ Nimrodwhat they described as harsh and disrespectful remarks toward the rapper, with one user writing, You’re just another useless DJ with no sensible record 🤷🏽♂️
GNL’s loyal fans defended his legacy witt many claiming GNL Zamba being a key fingure in paving the way for Ugandan hip-hop.

The drama unfolds at a time when Uganda’s entertainment landscape is buzzing, with Bebe Cool recently handing over a house to TikTok star Bridgette, and Frank Gashumba reportedly holding a private traditional ceremony. As the dispute between DJ Nimrod and GNL Zamba intensifies, fans are eager to see whether the conflict will culminate in a diss track or fizzle out with time.
