Kevin De Bruyne Bids Tearful Farewell to the Etihad

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne delivered a heartfelt farewell to the Etihad Stadium, closing a legendary chapter in his career after nearly a decade with the club.
The 33-year-old playmaker is widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of his generation. He was visibly emotional as he waved to fans following what could be his final appearance in front of the home crowd.
Kevin joined Manchester City in 2015 from Wolfsburg and went on to become the heartbeat of Guardiola’s team. During his time at the club, he won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five Carabao Cups, and the most coveted of all the UEFA Champions League in 2023.

De Bruyne has earned individual honors, including two PFA Player of the Year awards, four Premier League Playmaker of the Season titles, and inclusions in the UEFA.
“This club gave me everything, from the first day, I felt welcomed, loved, and challenged to become the best version of myself. We achieved greatness together, and I’ll never forget these moments.” De Bruyne said.

De Bruyne has not yet confirmed his next move however reports suggest interest from top European clubs and Major League Soccer.
