Manchester United Suffer 17th League Defeat in West Ham Loss

West Ham United delivered a major blow to Manchester United’s already troubled Premier League campaign, pulling off a surprising 2-0 win.
The Hammers broke a run of eight league matches without victory and leapfrogged United in the standings.
The first breakthrough came in the 26th minute after Mohammed Kudus skillfully navigated past Amad Diallo inside the penalty area and sent a cross across the face of goal. Tomas Soucek was perfectly positioned to slot it home, handing West Ham a well earned lead.
Manchester United, who entered the match on a six game winless streak in the Premier League, offered little in terms of a response.

West Ham doubled their advantage in the 57th minute when Manuel Ugarte lost the ball in midfield. Kudus quickly launched a counterattack, feeding the ball to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who in turn laid it off for Jarrod Bowen to smash into the net.
United appeared distracted, with one eye on their upcoming Europa League final.
This latest defeat marks United’s 17th league loss of the season and edges them dangerously close to the relegation battle.
West Ham's win provides a morale boost and a much-needed three points in what has been a challenging season for the London club.

The result leaves Manchester United in the 16th position with 39 matches just one position away from the already relegated teams. On the other hand West Ham is just above United with 40 points in 36 matches.
