Rema Dominates YouTube Charts as Nigeria’s Top Streamed Artist of 2025

Afrobeats sensation Rema, has become the most streamed African artist on YouTube in the first quarter of 2025 and he has solidified his dominance in the music scene.

According to recent data, the Calm Down hit singer racked up an impressive 223 million streams between January and March, outpacing his fellow musicians.

Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy secured second place with 171 million streams.

Mavin Records label Ayra Starr followed closely with 169 million streams, driven by her hit All The Love while Davido and Wizkid rounded out the top five with 113 million and 102 million streams, respectively.

Industry music anaylsts have attributed Rema’s early lead to his consistent output and international appeal, with his music dominating playlists across North America, Europe, and Africa.
