Senegal wrote their name into the football history books by becoming the first African country to defeat England in an international senior match.
England started strong when Harry Kane gave them a lead in the 7th minute. But Senegal's Ismaila Sarr quickly responded, leveling the score before halftime.

Senegal dominated the entire second half and Habib Diarra scored in the 62rd minute putting the Lions of Teranga ahead of the Three Lions. The result was later doubled by Cheikh Sabaly in stoppage time when he sealed the score with a third goal.
The result marked Thomas Tuchel’s first loss since taking over as England manager with 3 wins and 1 loss.
