Makerere University Releases 2025/26 BED External Admission List for Diploma Holders
Makerere University’s Office of the Academic Registrar has officially released the list of diploma holders provisionally admitted to the Bachelor of Education External (BED) programme under the Private Sponsorship scheme for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The BED External is a three-year degree programme designed for diploma holders in Education with at least a Credit or Second-Class qualification. Additionally, candidates must meet the required Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) standards.
This development is part of Makerere University’s strategy to expand access to higher education through flexible external learning programmes. It follows the successful graduation of over 40 students from the Centre for Life-Long Learning on January 24, 2025.
