Real Madrid have officially welcomed Trent Alexander-Arnold, securing the English right-back on a six-year deal and he will wear shirt number 12 shirt.
Arnold’s journey began in Liverpool’s youth academy, where he showcased his extraordinary talent which helped him quickly break into the first team at a young age.
Under Jurgen Klop, Trent became one of the most influential and skillful right-backs the Premier League has ever had in modern football.
The right back has the ability to combine both defensive roles with creative attacking play.
During his time at Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold was a key figure in a historic period of success for the club, he played a crucial role in helping Liverpool end their 30-year Premier League title drought 2019-2020 season. His precise crossing, vision, and set-piece delivery were vital throughout the campaign.
Alexander-Arnold also helped Liverpool secure the UEFA Champions League title in 2019, FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup and 2024/25 Premier League title.
While at the official joining ceremony held at Real Madrid City, Florentino Pérez the club president expressed his admiration for Alexander-Arnold’s talent and career achievements.
“We’ve signed a legend, one of the best in the world. Trent’s dream has come true. You have chosen to play for Real Madrid, the biggest club in the world,” Pérez said.
Pérez went ahead and highlighted the respectful and strong relationship between Real Madrid and Liverpool.
“We have a great relationship with Liverpool, they are our dear friends.” he added.
Arnold’s arrival at Real Madrid will help strengthen the squad depth and brings a fresh attacking threat from the right flank.
