A public dispute has emerged between Ugandan DJ Crysty DeeJay, known as The TurnUp King, and rising singer Jowy Landa.

The TurnUp King announced on X that he would no longer play Jowy Landa's music, citing an insult from singer.

“JOWY LANDA, your music will never play on my sets nor be in my hard drive ever again. ‘Olinga amaazi’ was a big insult to me as a DJ. You need to up your music.” the Dj wrote.

Jowy Landa later clarified on X that her comment was not intended to insult him.

According to the singer, her remark was a personal boundary regarding a potential romantic relationship, not an attack on his skills.

“Bro if I said I can’t date u don’t take it personal…Germinate,” She wrote.

The phrase “Olinga amaazi,” which translates to “You look like shit” is a common Luganda expression used to insult someone's appearance or presence.

This incident has sparked debates among fans and industry Legends. While some support the DJ's decision, others are backing the singer as it's her right to set personal boundaries without facing backlash. As of now, The TurnUp King has not responded to Landa's clarification, leaving fans uncertain about the future of their unfolding drama.
