TikToker Kempaka.11 Arrested Over Alleged Hate Speech Against Buganda Kingdom

Ugandan TikTok personality Kempaka.11, has been arrested after posting a series of controversial videos targeting Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi and the Buganda Kingdom.
Kempaka.11 has several times been uploading videos making inflammatory remarks and accusations directed at the monarch and his tribe. The videos quickly gained attention online, sparking public outrage and condemnation from various figures.
Police launched an investigation into the matter, which led to Kempaka’s arrest on charges related to hate speech and incitement. He was formally presented before the Buganda Road Court, where he faced legal proceedings for his actions.
Despite efforts to secure his release on bail, the court denied the request after determining that his sureties lacked the proper documentation. As a result, Kempaka.11 has been remanded to Luzira Prison, pending further hearings.
